MED64 Software – Evoked Potential Measurement Package
For Recording and analysis of fEPSPs / LTP / LTD
 |
 |
| Control panel for acquisition / stimulation parameters |
Acquisition
• Evoked local field potentials (e.g. fEPSPs) on all 64 channels can be recorded in response to customizable user-defined stimulation parameters.
• Parameters for acquisition and stimulation including stimulus current amplitude and wave forms are designed easily with simple control panel.
• Users can design and apply complex stimulation sequences independently for each stimulator. Templates are included for delivery of repetitive (e.g. theta) stimuli.
Analysis
• Analysis of amplitude, slope and area parameters can be performed automatically during or after acquisition, and graphed independently for each channel. An arbitrary number of measures can be enabled, limited only by the processing power of your PC.
• Online and offline measures are also available for paired-pulse paradigms.
• Input / Output curve can be made with automatic increments for stimulus current.
• Averages and standard deviations for measurements can be automatically computed for all channels and graphed for user-defined “phases” of an experiment. This allows for easy construction of dose-response curves.

| Paired Pulse Analysis: [Left] extracted evoked signal. [Right] Time course of measured Amplitude Minimum (red), and Slope 10-40% (blue) for the first and second pulse are shown. The bottom charts (yellow) show the paired pulse ratio for the Amplitude Minimum. The left chart shows the percent change in the second pulse with respect to the first pulse while the right chart shows the percent change in the first pulse with respect to the second pulse. |
Available measurement protocols
• Amplitude (Minimum, Maximum, Peak to Peak)
• Slope (10-90%, 10-40%, Linear fit)
• Absolute Area
• Area Pop Spike
• Paired-pulse Ratio for above protocols
• Time of Amplitude Minimum (or Maximum)
• Time of Amplitude Minimum (or Max) to Minimum (or Max)
• Time from Minimum (Max) to Half-minimum (max)
Data Output
• Raw data can be exported in binary or ASCII text file (csv) format.
• Measurement graphs can be saved as “csv” formatted text files.
LTP with Mobius
Acquisition and stimulation parameters are set in the top control panel, and data acquired at all 64 channels is displayed on the bottom.
Single pulse stimulation is applied through channel 20 and 21 alternatively. The stimulus amplitude and waveform for channel 20 is programmed by the [Step1] while the one for channel 21 is programmed by [Step2].

Display for analysis
Slope 10-40% (red) and Amplitude Minimum (blue) are selected here. (The specific analysis can be changed and/or added.)
The upper chart shows the result for the experimental pathway (Step 1stimulus at channel 20) while bottom chart shows the result for control pathway (Step 2 stimulus at channel 21).
Channel 29 is selected for on-line monitoring. Acquisition and analyses are performed at all 64 channels. The results for a specific channel can be displayed by selecting the channel at the bottom-left channel selector. The number of charts can be increased.

Automatic Input/Output curve
The stimulus amplitude is automatically increased and input/output curve is obtained consequently.

A control panel for making I/O curve. The stimulus amplitude is automatically increased by 2 µA from a starting current of -10µA. (-10µA, -12µA, -14µA ------)
