Thank you for your MED64 quote request.
AutoMate Scientific is the exclusive North American distributor for the MED64 multi-electrode array system. The proprietary composition of its electrodes gives the MED64 system industry-leading signal-to-noise ratios, and the ability to deliver large stimulus currents without electrolysis using ANY four of the 64 electrodes.
To customize your quote, please let us know a little more about your experiments. Some components of the quote (particularly perfusion related items, and software) are application-specific.
|
1. From what type of sample will you be recording?
E.g. acute and/or cultured brain or cardiac slices, dissociated neuronal cultures, stem cell derived cardiomyocytes? Please list ALL of the tissue you might use so we can configure the most flexible system for your long-term needs. If you are studying hippocampal slices, please let us know if you are using mice or rats. |
| |
|
2. What type of data would you like to collect?
fEPSP's (or other evoked signals), spikes (spontaneous signals), both evoked and spontaneous signals, electrocardiography (QT interval, beat frequency, propagation), etc.? The Mobius software that controls acquisition, stimulation, and analysis comes in a variety application-specific packages which you can easily expand later. |
| |
|
| 3. Do you need to do simultaneous imaging, external stimulation or conventional electrophysiology while recording from the multi-electrode array? |
| |
|
4. Do you need to perfuse your sample while recording?
Perfusion-related accessories are described here. We can easily configure a multi-channel, temperature-controlled, programmable perfusion system or a simple perfusion pump with connections to the MED64 probe (chamber) as needed. |
| |
|
5. Would you like to conduct your recordings in an incubator?
Because the connector is electrically passive, recordings can take place in the humidified incubator where you normally culture your cells. If you do not have an incubator you can dedicate for this purpose, we can add one to the quote. |
